How to install tapping Pedal Weiss Milling?
Tapping Pedal Operation Guide for Weiss Milling Models VM25 and VM32
If you’re experiencing issues with the tapping pedal on your Weiss VM25 or VM32 milling machine, follow this guide to ensure proper operation:
Steps to Operate the Tapping Pedal:
Connect the Foot Switch:
Ensure the foot switch is correctly connected to the machine’s electrical system. This connection is essential for activating the pedal’s functionality.Set the Selector Switch:
Before operating the foot pedal, turn the machine’s forward and reverse selector switch to the “R” (reverse) position. This setting ensures that the spindle starts rotating in reverse, which is necessary for the tapping function to work correctly.Operating the Machine:
- Power on the milling machine and verify that the spindle is rotating in reverse.
- Press the foot pedal to initiate the tapping process. The spindle will switch to forward rotation as long as the pedal is pressed, allowing the tap to move forward.
- When you release the foot pedal, the spindle will return to reverse rotation, retracting the tap.
